451-Unit Green Globes® Mixed-Use Apartment Community

Atworth is a 451-unit mixed-use community within Maryland's Discovery District, a major hub of academic, research, and economic development. The project includes retail and leasing space, clubrooms, a roof terrace, courtyards, a park, and a fully wrapped precast garage. The community will also feature landscape upgrades including plantings, lighting, benches, and a walkway connecting it to the adjacent College Park Metro Station. Atworth is also WMATA's first affordable housing development to receive support from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund, which enables rent reduction for tenants making less than 80% AMI. The transit-oriented community is located less than one mile from the University of Maryland and within walking distance to Whole Foods, hiking and biking trails, and numerous other amenities.

Building Green at Atworth
Atworth achieved Green Globes® certification, with "green" plans involving storm-water management, landscaping, and commissioning. The transit-orientated community also offers convenient access to Metrorail, Metrobus, TheBuS, MARC, and a future MDOT Purple Line station.
